Sharing thoughts about TwinSpace and MOOC course

A very useful course which gave me additional knowledge how to create successful collaborative projects using innovative IC tools. All the units of the MOOC corse are well developed and organised. The materials given in the corse gave me clear understanding how to start a project and how to improve it. Also, clear instructions are given on how to work on eTwinning live or TwinSpace. Thank you for great ideas!!!
3 aspects about TwinSpace that I liked:
— a well—organised page to work on a project;
— on Twinspace you can upload different forms of materials of your project;
— you can view the contribution of other participants in the project journal.
1 aspect to improve:
— to upload videos of any format.

Twin MOOC Week 4: Collaborative Task

It is important to partners to use effective collaborative tools while working on the mutual project. A good idea to start a project is to create a mutual logo of the project. For this purpose a collaborative drawing web application Colorillo can be used. A participant of the project can share the URL of the page with other participants and watch them in real-time as they draw or draw together with them.

Another collaborative tool is  to use ZeeMaps. ZeeMaps is a mapping service that allows participants of the project to easily create, publish, and share interactive maps. Participants can construct dynamic visualizations of geographic information, producing maps from their list of locations. They can make maps pinning the locations of their countries, towns, schools. In addition to marking pins on a map, they can highlight areas of interest, e.g., zip codes, country boundaries, etc.

Analysing my teaching

I enjoy my lessons if I see that students like them and their feedback is positive, they want to improve their english and want to learn more. I try to use variety of activities at my lessons, although at my lessons I’d like to use ICT more often because it involves students into active lerning. I also try to improve my ICT skills and implement eTwinning projects into my lessons. It helps to develop students’ competences and a sense of collaboration.

What is eTwinning?

eTwinning is part of Erasmus +, the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport. Our goal is to promote and facilitate contact, exchange ideas and collaborative work between teachers and students of the countries participating in eTwinning, through ICTs. To coordinate this action across Europe, eTwinning has a Central Support Service in Brussels and a National Support Service (NSS) in each country. In the case of Spain, the NSS is located at the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training (Instituto Nacional de Tecnologías Educativas y de Formación del Profesorado – INTEF) of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. Each Autonomous Community has an  eTwinning representative.
